Société GBS Produits Traiteurs was founded in 1983
and gradually grouped together three dumpling-making businesses:
Fabre and Georges Ecochard highly reputed in the Rhône Alps
region of France
And a well known undertaking in the Savoy region: Marcel Buffle.
Production sites
Corbas (Lyons region), a site specialising in producing dumplings
and associated products.
Yearly output: 7000 metric tons per year of fresh and deep-frozen
products
Number of employees: 120.
The dumplings market
Dumplings are a niche market in the prepared food universe. The
total market for dumplings represents 12,000 tons (fresh and deep-frozen),
all distribution networks included, on which GBS Produits Traiteurs
is the leading specialist in the market.
